I haven't updated my website (click) in over a year.

Along with adding new art and taking out old, icky art, I want to redo the layout. I've been wanting to do so for a good while, but have lacked ideas (it's strange- I can design layouts for others, but not for myself). So, I'm wanting some input: what do you look for/like when going to an artists' site? I'm all about user-compatibility!
Personally, I like horizontal links, but I'm up for other ideas. Preferred colors are black and teal.
I have a general idea of how I want to display art, but not a layout itself...

I will pretty much try anything (though nothing nude), though I'm best at canines.

Detailed character/pet/animal: $15

Includes 2 characters, more than that $8 each, simple background included, detailed background $5 extra

Pixel Art: $4.50

($1 for each additional character)

Icons: $10

(includes full sized image, 150x150 version, and 100x100 version)

Simple character/pet/animal: $10

Plus $2 for each additional character

Reference Sheet: $20

Trades/Requests: CLOSED

Hmmm... Whatever you do, don't change the art on the banner!!! I <3 it.

I just have a few minor suggestions, as I actually really love your site. XP

1. Make the white background a little more interesting. Maybe a light teal with lighter teal, white, or black swirls? Something other than just plain white.

2. That pink square on the front page really bugs me. It looks like someone spilled pepto-bismol on your layout! XP lol, it's not that bad, but it just doesn't fit your color scheme.

If I think of anything else, I'll let you know!

haha, yeah, the pink box is from the first layout which was pink, teal, and yellow, with bits of red in the banner to match the pawprints.

That will be going with the new layout.

Yes, I did! It was before my subconscious told me to make right-sided layouts.

but the art on that site is old and some of it rather icky. XD At least some of the digital art is... the improvement 3 years can make!

It's interesting... most right-handed people I know tend to do things facing the left side because it's easier, but I like to place things on the right side.
